Test/Electrical Engineer for Space Instrumentation (ESA JUICE/NIM)

Description

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting the development, testing, and operation of NIM, including:

  • Supporting calibration and testing of the instrument under various operational conditions
  • Assisting in the diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of hardware and system issues
  • Contributing to the characterization and optimization of critical components and subsystems
  • Participating in the development and validation of operation and software tools
  • Helping investigate inflight issues and support related analysis
  • Maintaining and improving technical documentation, including design and operations manuals
  • Managing inventory and procurement activities for hardware

Requirements

  • A higher education degree (ETH, Uni, FH) in engineering, physics, or a related technical field
  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation and electronic diagnostics
  • Proficiency in coding in Python and/or C++ or similar
  • A motivated, hands-on, and collaborative approach to problem-solving (team player)
  • Proficient written English skills required; basic knowledge of German is desirable.
