About Our Client

Our client is an established and growing international commodity trading house with a strong presence across agricultural markets. To support the development of its grains business, the company is looking to recruit an experienced Grain Trader to join its commercial team in Geneva.

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial trader with an existing market network and a proven ability to generate and manage a profitable trading book.

Job Description

• Manage and execute grain trading strategies in alignment with market trends and company objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients to enhance trading opportunities.
• Monitor global market developments and analyse their impact on grain trading activities.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with counterparties to optimise trading outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline operations and improve trading efficiency.
• Prepare detailed reports and provide insights on trading performance and market conditions.
• Identify new business opportunities to expand the grains trading portfolio.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Trader - Grains should have:

• Strong knowledge of grain markets and trading practices.
• Proficiency in analysing market trends and making data-driven decisions.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Capability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment.
• Fluency in English, with additional language skills being an advantage.
