Pictet Investment Office (PIO) manages discretionary multi-asset portfolios, including alternative investments, for the bank-s key clients.

As a Public Equity Analyst in the PIO, you will contribute as a key member of our equity investment team focused on long-term, deep-dive fundamental investing. The role involves developing high conviction investment ideas in US and European markets, delivering rigorous investment analysis through a deep knowledge of industry dynamics, and independent, primary research.  

The ideal candidate is 'tech forward' with both the mindset and skillset to harness technology to enhance the investment process. 

Your role

  •    Investment idea generation: Identify and develop high-conviction, long-term, long-only investment opportunities in US and European markets.
     
  •    Fundamental analysis: Perform comprehensive due diligence on investment ideas, including financial modelling, valuation and industry analysis.  Engage directly with company management and perform primary research to support investment theses.
     
  •    Sector coverage: Cover sectors as assigned, with flexibility to adapt as team needs evolve.
     
  •    Data and process improvement: Lead and support data-driven projects and process improvements, including the integration of advanced analytics and emerging AI tools.
     
  •    Communication and Reporting: Prepare and present investment recommendations to 
    the team and investment leadership.
     
  •    Team collaboration: Work closely with other analysts to share ideas, insights and best practices in a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
     
  •    Continuous learning: Stay abreast of market trends, new technologies and best practices in investment analysis and data-driven decision-making.
     

Your profile


Qualifications and experience
 
-    Experience: Minimum 5+ years in investment banking or buy-side roles (asset management, hedge funds, or private equity). Experience in fundamental, long-term orientated investment process is preferred. 
-    Education: Graduate degree in finance, business, economics, engineering or related field. Advanced degrees (MBA, CFA, etc.) are a plus but not a requirement.
-    Technical skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and data management. Experience or interest in data-driven projects and process improvement; familiarity with AI concepts is preferred.  
-    Languages: Fluency in English required. Additional languages are a plus.

-    Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present investment ideas and reports clearly and persuasively to both internal and external stakeholders.

-    Integrity: High ethical standards and alignment with the values and culture of the Pictet Investment Office.
