Critères impératifs :
Courtier maritime spécialisé dans le vrac sec, idéalement au sein d’une maison de courtage reconnue et réputée.
Expérience confirmée et excellente connaissance du marché des Forward Freight Agreements (FFA).
Solide expertise du secteur du vrac sec sur les segments geared et gear-less, notamment Panamax/Kamsarmax et Ultramax/Supramax.
Excellente compréhension des fondamentaux macro et micro du marché, notamment des flux de matières premières, de l’offre de tonnage, des marchés du fret, du positionnement et des dynamiques de marché.
Une excellente maîtrise de l’anglais est impérative.

Mission :
Analyser et anticiper les évolutions du marché en combinant analyse macroéconomique, flux de matières premières, de l'offre de tonnage et une connaissance approfondie des dynamiques de marché à court terme, afin d’identifier les opportunités de marché et de mettre efficacement en relation acheteurs et vendeurs sur les marchés physiques et FFA.
Gérer et développer un portefeuille de clients actifs sur les marchés du fret maritime et des FFA dans le secteur du vrac sec à Genève.
Apporter une expertise approfondie sur l’ensemble des segments geared et gear-less et assurer activement le courtage de transactions FFA.
Analyser et anticiper les évolutions du marché en combinant analyse macroéconomique, flux de matières premières, offre de tonnage et analyse fine des marchés physiques.
Développer et maintenir des relations solides avec les armateurs, affréteurs, trading houses, institutions financières et autres acteurs clés du marché actifs en FFA. Identifier et communiquer les opportunités de trading et de couverture découlant de l’évolution des marchés physiques et papier du fret.
Maintenir une communication proactive et efficace avec les partenaires internes et externes.
Contribuer activement au développement commercial et à la croissance du bureau de Genève.

Profil :
Excellent esprit analytique et commercial, avec un réel intérêt pour les marchés du fret et l’industrie du vrac sec.
Capacité à combiner une analyse macroéconomique avec une compréhension approfondie des marchés physiques du vrac sec.
Un réseau existant dans le secteur du transport maritime de vrac sec et/ou sur le marché des FFA constitue un atout important.
La maîtrise d’autres langues constitue un avantage.

Information complémentaire :
Le/la candidat(e) rejoindra l’équipe dry bulk de Lightship à Genève et travaillera sur l’ensemble des segments geared et gear-less.
Le poste offre la possibilité de développer et d’élargir l’activité FFA à Genève en s’appuyant sur une plateforme de courtage physique dry bulk déjà établie.

Mandatory criteria:
Shipbroker specialising in dry bulk freight, preferably with a recognised and reputable
brokerage house.
Proven experience and strong understanding of the Forward Freight Agreement (FFA) market.
Excellent knowledge of the dry bulk sector across both geared and gear-less segments, including Panamax/Kamsarmax and Ultramax/Supramax.
Strong understanding of both macro and micro market fundamentals, including commodity flows, vessel supply, freight markets, positioning and market dynamics. Excellent command of English.

Mission:
Analyse and anticipate market movements through a combination of macroeconomic,
commodity-flow, fleet-supply and micro market analysis, in order to identify relevant
trading opportunities and effectively match buyers and sellers across the physical and FFA markets.
Manage and develop a portfolio of clients active in the dry bulk freight and FFA markets in Geneva.
Provide in-depth market expertise across the geared and gear-less dry bulk segments
and actively broker FFA transactions.
Analyse and anticipate market movements through a combination of macroeconomic, commodity-flow, fleet-supply and micro market analysis.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, trading houses, financial institutions and other key market participants. Identify and communicate trading and hedging opportunities arising from developments in the physical and paper freight markets.
Maintain proactive and effective communication with internal and external partners. Contribute actively to the commercial development and growth of the Geneva office.

Profile:
Strong analytical and commercial mindset, with a genuine interest in freight markets and the wider dry bulk industry.
Ability to combine macroeconomic analysis with detailed understanding of physical dry bulk markets.
Existing network within the dry bulk shipping and/or FFA community is a strong advantage.
Additional languages will be considered an asset.
