Job Description
Our client, a well-established international group headquartered in Geneva, is looking for a Group Financial Reporting Specialist to support consolidated US GAAP reporting, SEC compliance, and ongoing systems improvements.
This is a hands-on role within a lean, collaborative team, offering exposure to complex accounting topics and group-level projects, including acquisitions and ERP migration.
Key responsibilities of the Group Financial Reporting Specialist:
- Prepare US GAAP consolidated financial statements and notes, in partnership with the Reporting Manager
- Review submissions from group entities and prepare consolidation and elimination entries
- Draft accounting memos for complex transactions and ensure proper documentation of adjustments
- Reconcile intercompany balances and ensure completeness of group-level temporary and permanent adjustments
- Act as audit point of contact during group statutory audits and support external reporting requirements
- Liaise with local finance teams on statutory balances, accounting treatments, and implementation of group policies
Key requirements:
- Solid background in Accounting, Group Consolidation, and Audit (Big 4 or international group environment is preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP (or similar reporting standards) and internal controls over financial reporting
- Experience with financial statement preparation, including year-end adjustments and disclosures
- Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (ideally Business Central) and Excel; Power Query is a plus
- Comfortable working in English within a multinational environment
- Proactive mindset with excellent communication and organizational skills
