The HBS Operations department at EHL Hospitality Business School ensures the seamless functioning of campus services and academic support. It manages logistics, facilities, and administrative processes to enhance the student and faculty experience. By coordinating daily operations and supporting academic delivery, the department upholds EHL’s commitment to excellence. Head of Academic Services & Data Management
The mission of the Head of Academic Administration & Data Management is to enhance the efficiency and impact of academic services through strategic leadership, optimized processes, and data-driven decision-making.
In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams and institutional initiatives, with a particular focus on developing and leveraging academic data to support student success, optimize faculty allocation, and ensure operational excellence. You will work closely with IT, Admissions, and academic leadership to guarantee the accuracy, availability and strategic use of internal data for planning, reporting, compliance and accreditation.
What will you do?
- Lead the development of data-informed academic planning in collaboration with institutional stakeholders.
- Supervise the Academic Advisory and Academic Planning teams, as well as the Data Administrator and Analyst, providing guidance and support.
- Manage and analyze the collection and reporting of academic and student data to support performance management, quality assurance, and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments on the implementation of digital tools and dashboards to improve academic operations and data accessibility.
- Support departments in optimizing academic processes and fostering effective cross-team collaboration.
- Ensure the accuracy and relevance of internal and external academic reports (, for accreditation, institutional planning, or student success tracking).
- Improve data flows and usage across academic units to ensure insights are actionable and effectively shared.
Who you are?
- You have a Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or certification in project management or data analysis is a strong asset.
- You have at least 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years in a similar leadership role.
- You have solid experience in data management, reporting, and performance analysis, and are comfortable working with large datasets to generate actionable insights.
- You are proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (, Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and ideally familiar with database systems or academic information systems.
- You are at ease with budget management and have a strong understanding of business, financial, and leadership principles.
- You demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
- You are service-oriented, detail-focused, and capable of seeing the bigger picture while managing complex projects.
- You have excellent time and project management skills.
- You are fluent in French and English; German is a plus.
