Manager: Soenke PetersenRecruter: Estelle Kotelon Department: HC-GM-DDBIC Analytical Op QC Microbiology Location: Corsier-sur-Vevey | Route de Fenil Z.I.B.Role: HC-GM Global Healthcare Operations    Your Role: As a Head of the Microbiology Quality Control Laboratory in the Biotech Development Center (BDC), you will manage and oversee all microbiological quality control activities, ensuring compliance with GMP, GLP, and other regulatory requirements. You will lead and mentor a team of microbiology professionals who develop and implement microbiological testing protocols and procedures. Furthermore, you will be a key player at the BDC on all relevant microbiology topics collaborating with cross-functional teams to support product development and quality functions. Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of microbiology professionals.Oversee daily laboratory operations, including method development and QC testing.Develop and implement microbiological testing protocols and procedures.Ensure Environmental Monitoring and compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.Maintain accurate documentation of lab procedures and test results.Conduct investigations of microbiological failures and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and quality assurance.Utilize LIMS for data entry, result review, and reporting.Review and approve microbiological test results and reports.Stay updated on technical innovations in microbiology testing. Who you are: Graduate degree or Ph.D. in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology.Minimum 5 years of experience in microbiology quality control, with 2 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of microbiological testing methods and regulatory requirements.Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.Proactive in delivering results and driving improvements; experience with GMP.Proficiency in LIMS; knowledge of SAP is a plus.Fluent in English (B2 or higher); German or French is a plus.
