Librarian - Bookstore Manager

Active and engaging professional librarian with background in collection development and maintenance with an emphasis on electronic databases, resources, and research. Expert user of educational technology with sense of pedagogy for role in a higher education institution.

The Librarian is a key academic and administrative leader responsible for the strategic planning, development, and direct management of all library and bookstore services to support the educational and research goals of the Webster Geneva. This role involves overseeing library and bookstore operations, coordinating information resources, and fostering a dynamic learning and research environment and community for students, faculty and staff.

Pre-requisites
Minimum Bachelor but preferred Master in Library Science or Library and Information Science (MLS or MLIS), recognized by the ALA or equivalent. Doctorate (any discipline) preferred but not required.
Experience in a comparable library role, project management, and international competency, preferably in an academic setting with training and teaching experience.
Knowledge of library and research technologies including integrated library systems and digital library platforms
Familiarity with textbooks and publishers, including copyright and intellectual property issues in a library context.
Fluent in English; knowledge of French is an asset
Excellent communication and presentation skills
