 ?Your Mission Do you want to make lung function testing accessible to everyone, everywhere – and help improve the lives of millions of people living with lung diseases? Then you're in the right place! As a Biological Safety Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our medical devices are biologically safe and compliant with international regulatory standards. You'll bring together your expertise in biocompatibility, materials science, and regulatory know-how to drive product safety from concept to market. ??

Responsibilities

?️ What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform biological risk assessments and define appropriate risk control measures
  • Develop and manage biocompatibility test plans in collaboration with external testing providers
  • Prepare biological safety documentation for global regulatory submissions (focus on EU & US)
  • Develop hygiene concepts, cleaning & reprocessing strategies for reusable medical devices
  • Support audits and drive continuous improvement in test methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align safety requirements with product development

Profile

? What You Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the medical device industry or other regulated environments
  • Proven track record in regulatory submissions focused on biological safety
  • Solid knowledge of ISO 10993, ISO 17664, MDR 2017/745, FDA guidance, and relevant standards
  •  Strong understanding of materials science and toxicology
  • Analytical and risk-based mindset with a focus on compliance and innovation
  • Excellent English skills (German a plus) – confident in communicating complex technical info
  • Team player with experience in international, cross-functional settings
