The Position : Le Rosey Camps is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join the Experimental Scientist Academy for students aged 8–12 years, taking place in June, July, and August.
Mission: Teaches the basic concepts of the natural sciences through fun projects, experiments, and dynamic lessons.
The Science Teacher creates and delivers engaging, hands-on activities that spark curiosity while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The role involves planning, organizing, and supervising group science projects that promote collaboration, creativity, and the practical application of scientific concepts.
This is a residential position, and teachers are expected to actively participate in boarding life and camp activities. Further details can be found at www.roseysummercamps.ch/jobs/
Candidates must:
Have previous experience and/or training in the supervision of children and in summer camps
Have an excellent command of English
Demonstrate the following qualities:
Enthusiastic and passionate about science
Creative and innovative in lesson planning

Excellent rapport with children
Responsible and safety-minded
Qualifications
Degree or certification in Science, STEM Education, or related field
Experience teaching science or conducting hands-on experiments for children aged 8–12
Ability to design and lead collaborative science projects and experiments
Knowledge of safety protocols in laboratory or experimental settings
Experience in international or multicultural environments is an asset
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver hands-on science lessons appropriate for 8–12-year-old students
Supervise group projects and experiments promoting teamwork, inquiry, and critical thinking
Ensure safety in all practical activities and experiments
Maintain accurate records of projects, experiments, and student progress
Encourage curiosity, creativity, and scientific exploration in a supportive learning environment
Participate in camp life and support students outside of formal lessons

The camps are held at our Rolle campus near Lake Geneva and in Gstaad in the Bernese Alps.
Staff are required to be present, depending on the camp, two to four days prior to the start of the program. During this period, staff receive information, training, and are integrated into the summer camp team.
