SENIOR EXPERT / MANAGER ASSET MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS 80-100% - ZÜRICH / BASEL

YOUR TASKS:
(We are looking for strong competence in a selection of these tasks; no candidate is expected to meet every point)

  • Lead complex projects and independent preparation of technical and strategic analyses as well as the conception and structuring of individual workstreams
  • Be a team player in developing quantitative and statistical models, deterioration and risk models, scenario-based forecasting tools and data-driven simulations. Alongside delivery frameworks for client integration and advisory
  • Translate complex technical modelling and analytics into clear, decision-ready deliverables: asset management plans, strategic asset management roadmaps, investment/maintenance plans, model validation and documentation. Generating clear client value and support commercial discussions
  • Support the development of our asset management software suite with client feedback integration and new features. Collaborate closely with our software engineers to define requirements and ensure effective implementation
  • Implement asset management principles in large organisations and develop frameworks to ensure integration from ISO standards to results driven approaches
  • Lead delivery and client management, where applicable, business development: liaising with infrastructure managers, utilities or regulators; shaping proposals and business cases; supporting growth of our service offering.

Proven experience in one or more of the below is required:

  • Leadership: Manage and lead junior team members; coordinate cross-functional teams (software engineers, data scientist, asset management experts) and ensure quality of deliverables. Consulting experience and ability to present ideas comprehensively
  • Business development: Support proposal preparation, identify new opportunities and contribute to positioning our asset management and digital solutions in the market. Drive the expansion of our services in the energy, rail or other critical infrastructure sectors by analysing market trends, shaping offerings and supporting implementation of our digital asset management tools.
  • Product management: Manage analytical and modelling tools, defining requirements, prioritising development tasks and ensuring alignment between user needs, technical design and software implementation
  • Client management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, understand evolving needs and represent AFRY in key discussions and workshops.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • University degree in engineering, applied mathematics, data science, physics or a related discipline - or comparable proven experience. Further structured experience in asset management or technical competence is advantageous
  • Several years of experience in infrastructure asset management, consulting, data modelling, or data-driven infrastructure analytics (senior-level hire expected) with experience in selling value-based services and shaping solution concepts for clients
  • Ability to lead and structure technical solution development, guiding teams in building production-ready analytical models, data pipelines, simulations, forecasting tools and optimisation routines
  • Strong background in statistical, stochastic, engineering and mathematical modelling. Python knowledge is advantageous.
  • Consulting experience with structured approaches to analysis, communication and stakeholder management. Ability to translate technical and analytical work into structured, clear, strategic deliverables for senior stakeholders and decision-makers
