About the Company
Our client is a global leader in the energy & commodities sector, operating in over 40 countries and managing its own proprietary Commodity Trading & Risk Management (CTRM) system"the backbone of its trading, risk, and invoicing processes.
Your Role
As part of the CTRM team in Geneva, you will:
- Design and implement new PL/SQL features to support evolving business requirements
- Partner with traders, middle-office, and finance users to gather and prioritize requirements
- Maintain and optimize both existing modules and those you develop
- Provide day-to-day application support and user training
- Contribute to diverse projects such as cash-flow modelling, complex options valuation engines, and post-acquisition system integrations
What We're Looking For
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Strong data modelling skills and SQL proficiency
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a database engineer or user-facing DB developer
- Entrepreneurial mindset, ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proactive, user-oriented "make it work" attitude; comfortable with daily release cycles
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
Nice-to-Haves
- Hands-on PL/SQL or T-SQL experience; Oracle Forms Builder a plus
- Background in commodities trading or financial services
- Familiarity with C#, C++ or Python
- French language skills
