Supervisor of High Voltage Laboratory

The HV Laboratory Jointing Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the jointing team within the High Voltage Laboratory and supporting external testing and field activities ( , external laboratories and client sites). The role ensures the proper preparation, installation, and execution of high-voltage cable systems and accessories for testing purposes, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
The position serves as a key interface between laboratory operations, field execution, and technical departments such as R&D and Project Management. Success is measured through quality and reliability of test setups, adherence to safety standards, efficiency of execution, and team development.

Coordination & PlanningCoordinate daily activities of the jointing team within the HV laboratory
Organize preparation and installation of HV cables and accessories (up to 500 kV)
Plan and support jointing activities at external laboratories and client sites Execution & SupervisionSupervise installation of HV cable systems and accessories for test loops
Oversee laboratory setup and provide support during HV testing activities
Manage preparatory work, including cable handling and logistics
Ensure timely and efficient execution of all jointing operations Quality, Safety & ComplianceEnsure full compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and internal procedures
Monitor and improve reliability and quality of test installations
Identify and mitigate operational risks Team Leadership & DevelopmentTrain, mentor, and develop jointing technicians
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Support skill development and knowledge sharing within the team Collaboration & Continuous ImprovementCoordinate closely with R&D, Project Management, and HV Test Engineers
Act as interface between laboratory and field activities
Contribute to the continuous improvement of jointing techniques and methodologies
Align practices with the Head of Installation to ensure consistency across regions

Education & ExperienceTechnical background in electrical engineering, mechanics, or metalworking
Strong hands-on experience in high-voltage cable jointing and accessories
Proven experience supervising field activities or construction sites
Experience in HV testing environments is an advantage Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and team coordination skills
Practical, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
High level of autonomy and accountability
Ability to work effectively in international and cross-functional environments Additional RequirementsWillingness to travel internationally (approx. 20–30%) Good command of English; German and Italian are a plus Valid driving license
