As our company is expanding, we are in the process of enlarging our team.

You will work in a very small IPR team, providing engineering support to partner MRO repair stations in the development of structural repair design specifications and procedures. Perform ATR Integration of structural repairs and modifications through the Supplemental Type Certificate process witch will be revived and validated by a Part 21J organization. Activities included researching and developing design specifications, complete design, liaison with manufacturing and installation. This includes mechanical design, structural load, installation instructions and maintenance requirements and procedures. Passenger to Freighter Aircraft modification including Large Cargo Doors, load bearing structures, cargo handling system, smoke detection system, hydraulic system, etc

Aircraft Structural Analysis Engineer

Essential Functions:

1. Analyze and develop important engineering projects

2. Provides specialized technical assistance to team members

3. Uses advanced techniques and modified extension of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of problems

4. Determines and develops own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives

5. Works under limited supervision; work should only be required to be reviewed for accuracy and consistency with meeting overall objectives

6. Acts as liaison with representatives outside of IPR Conversions Ltd. Improve IPR Conversions P to F STCs to exceed customers expectations.

7.Development of job cards and work orders

Additional Functions:

1. Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements

2. Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company STCs.

3. Needs to liaise with DOA / Parts 21 J on a daily basis and ensure the effective feedback on repairs / in service issues / conversion issues.

The following unique skills are preferred: 

  1. ATR design engineering experience.
  2. P to F design engineering experience
  3. STC design engineering experience
  4. Experience in CATIA V5. 
  5. Experience in the development of repairs of composite structures and sheet metal structures. 

Education and Experience Requirements: 

Bachelors degree in engineering, a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 4 years in specific technical discipline.

Other Requirements:

1. Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred

2. Languages Required (in addition to English):  German & French are a plus

3. Be on call 24/7/365

Travel: Some travel will be expected with this position.
