Environment Specialist

Basic qualifications:

As a successful Safety and Environment Specialist, you are a strategic and analytical thinker and passionate about all Environment & Safety topics. You are keeping the overview of the processes, always having the global goals of the company in mind and collaborating with the global
GSK Shared Services.

You have great abilities in building strong and trustful relationships with your colleagues and feel comfortable in a fast moving and international environment.

Furthermore you display the following qualifications and competencies:

- Strong knowledge of the Environmental Swiss Legislation (OPAM) is a MUST.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety Position (with a strong focus on Environment).
- Experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare manufacturing.
- Experience in managing or advising on specific Health & Safety hazards or relevance to operations.
- French fluent (writtent and oral), English desirable.

Preferred qualifications:

- Highly motivated team person with excellent solution orientation and social skills, service orientation and dedication

Job Purpose:

- To assist and support the implementation of the Site EHS management system and programs.

To support key EHS programs:
-Environment assessment
-OPAM dossier
-Incident investigation
-Communication and training
-Operational Environment control
-Performance Environment monitoring
-Business Continuity Plans

- To meet reporting requirements w.r.t regulatory requirements, site procedures and policies and GSK EHS standards.

- Involvement in and leadership of EHS Level 1,2 and 3 Audits as appropriate.

- To lead EHS blue chip projects (e.g. CO2, Energie…) on site and facilitate the implementation of GMS EHS risks reduction programmes.

- To coordinate EHS events - training / site visits / audit.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure the site coherence assessing their hazards in process impacting Environment.

- Support functions to perform their workplace risk assessments.

- Perform reduction risk program effectiveness check.

- Support investigations in case of incident.

- Perform Occupational Safety Audit.

- Perform Occupational Safety trainings on local EHS Standards Operations Procedures.

- Perform monitoring of Occupational Safety KPI.

- Maintain up to date local EHS Standards Operations Procedures.

- Maintain regulatory register for Occupational Safety up to date.

- Ensure SAMACO program execution.

- Perform duties in a compliant manner and behave in accordance with our Quality Management System requirements and Environment, Health and Safety requirements.

Respect all GMP standards.

GMP knowledge and experience to support the requirements expected by Swissmedic, European union agencies and other regulatory bodies to assure that our products meet all cGMP requirements together with our operations and documentation system.
